I drive a 2003, Dodge Cummins diesel powered truck as my daily driver. I use a B80 blend of Kampfire BioDiesel /Retail Dino-Diesel in the Winter months and Kampfire B100 during the other 9 months of the year.
I got into this as a home brew project a few years ago and as it evolved, I decided to re-establish my homebrew project as a Co-Op after visiting and contributing knowledge to other BioDiesel Co-Op sites while travelling on business in South East Asia in 2006-2007. I saw it as a way to combine knowledge and resources, improve process efficiency, and benefit the community by promoting sustainable energy resources.
My Wife and I are currently planning to relocate to Winnsboro South Carolina, in Fairfield County, to purchase a home where we plan to gradually incorporate Solar and Hydro-electric power into an inverter/battery bank to supply power to our new home day and night. We will of course back everything up with a Diesel Genset fueled by Kampfire Biodiesel.
I am currently looking for a diesel passenger car (Mercedes, VW, whatever) as long as it is a diesel in good mechanical condition and excellent interior/ body condition.
